... my shoulder blade. Tried antacids and they kinda worked for a minute but not anymore. It's been off and on for the past 3 days. I'm not sure what to do? I have no heart problems, but have asthma and a history of pneumonia.
I'm sort you are feeling poorly.
Does your pain increase with inspiration, deep breathing or coughing ?
If it does, most likely you have costochondritis which is an inflammation of the muscles between the ribs.
You may have pulled a muscle or it's a virus.
However, if it's severe and constant or fever or shortness of breath then see a doctor ASAP.
Try taking NSAIDS (Aleve, ibuprofen) with food.
Soak in hot tub or try heating pad.
Costochondritis is annoying but not debilitating. Use your judgement.
Asthma may be triggered so be careful.
