About a year ago I took up running at my school, joined the xc team etc..
I ran a 2 mile race about 1 1/2 months ago and towards the end of the race I could feel pain travel up from my shin muscle(whatever muscle is to the right of your shin on your right leg) up to my leg.
After the race I was in excruciating pain and went straight home.
I went to the doctor about 2 weeks after and my doctor said that I had osgood schlatter osteochondrosis after a few x rays. Basically telling him the pain was coming from my knee.
2-3 weeks after visiting him and taking the time off to rest I began running again.
The pain in my knee has completely disappeared and now suddenly is only in my muscle directly the right of my shin bone.
I can run 2 miles before I have to stop because of the pain that catches up to me in my right leg only.
I have searched many websites trying to figure d an answer to what may be causing this with no prevail.
Could it be my shoes, the way I run, or just more rest needed.
What is causing my pain in my right leg only??
