I have severe hip pain and nothing seems to help at night.
If you take enough aleve it will work. Taken at the over counter dosage all it does is act as a pain med, not an antiinflammatory which is what you need with arthritis. If you take 2 Aleve twice a day every day, not just if you have severe pain on an as needed basis, it will help. If it doesn't then your dr has to prescribe something stronger. There are other NSAIDS to use, that he can prescribe.
For RA there are many specific medications and off-label medications that can help. A rheumatologist should be able to guide you.
