Wanting to get off pain meds and I need someone to talk to Can someone please talk to me that might have same problem
I understand your depression. Getting off pain pills can be a taunting task, but if you have the determination and can taper slowly, you can do this. I've been on pain pills in the past and had good success. Don't know the specifics of your situation, but here for you.
Have you started your taper off yet? If possible let your doctor know so he can help you. It can cause depression so you may want to start an antidepressant before you start to taper off. It can be a trying experience, but if you get yourself into some kind of support group, such as NA or AA it will help a great deal, also if your family knows what you're doing ask them for their support also. There are many of us here that has been where you are. You can do it, stay positive and come on back and talk with us all about how you're feeling.. take care and be safe... pamee
