What pain meds are given to someone who has severe arthritis in hips, knees and ankles?

No Rhuemy will give narcotic pain medication, maybe 800 mg Ibuprofen to go along with whatever cocktail you are being given IF you have RA or a related illness. For Osteo you will have to go to a Regular Doc, but again, most likely they will not prescribe a narcotic.

Clack; This is really something you should ask your doctor about the list is long on what they can use and it depends on how severe the pain is. Many times something as simple as an anti-inflammatory medication can do the trick. But you should see the doctor and see what stage your in. Chuck1957
