Every time I take my pain medicine and the doctors do blood or urine drug screen, they say I seem to show up with trace amounts of amphetamine
Absolutely not. If they did the FDA would pull them off the market. Urine screens are very unreliable but the blood shouldn't do that unless you were using it.
Are you taking any over the counter medications or other prescriptions?
Do you happen to also take any ibuprofen or other over the counter NSAIDs? Those sometimes will cause a false positive as methamphetamines on urine drug screens (which are the least reliable drug tests anyways).
No but if you take cold or allergy medications then they can certainly show up as amphetamines on your drug screen and shouldn't be of any issue as it is a common finding.
