what should I do? Also its a holiday weekend so I can't get in touch with any of my doctors. All I do is cry and sleep. And I've been getting the chills and the sweats.
Hi, i was in the same position some years ago, on antidepressants and strong analgesics, so i know how you feel. I was OK for a long time and then suddenly i just felt overwhelmed by depression, i was working, but in between shifts, i would spend all of my time in bed. Also very tearful. I don't know what medications you are taking, if they were in the same drug class as mine? However, you need to get some help. There are so many therapies available to help you deal with your symptoms and to inspire wellness and confidence, and teach you positive life skills. Do you have a psychiatrist who can refer you? Or maybe your doctor could do so. I am a firm believer that counselling, talk therapy, etc can really help. It sounds as though you really need someone to confide in. We are all here for you if you want to stay in touch... Please contact your doctor/psychiatrist about a referral for some help
I would recommend that you call your doctor and tell them that your antidepressant is not working. You may just need to increase it. I had been on my antidepressant for a long time, but then I got severely depressed. I thought that it was situational and told the doctor that no drug could possibly help me. Wow, was I surprised that just increasing the antidepressant took care of my depression altogether. About a month later I was fine in spite of still having the same terrible circumstances.
