Due to severe back injury that is now getting worse every day, to where I will now need back surgery done soon. What would be the next step up? Reason I'm asking for an answer in such a short time is because I have an appt today to see my doc and was told I'd be put on something another step up.
Let the Dr tell you, if you go in making specific suggestions it's a red flag and you may wind up with less rather than more. The climate is that bad, your surgery does not come into play.
For me a step up would be regular oxycodone so I could have a larger dose without tylenol to worry about. But I agree, don't ask for anything, we are supposed to be stupid and not know what we should use, like people like us don't network or something. For long term pain, extended release medications are best. The keep continual pain meds going and grab it before it gets bad.
I just got to say this. Go with laser surgery and NEVER get a fusion. It will screw you up the rest of your life
Wish you luck. It took me a year to get to the right amounts and the meds that work the best
