she wants me to get 2 tests at the Hosp. one is a Bone Scan, dose anyone know about this scan & why do you have to wait 3 hrs. after you get the injection, to have the pictures done? The other one is a nerve test don't know what it is called. I have nerve damage to my right foot. Had surgery to repair a Flexor Tendon in April, 2013, now my foot is worse now than before my surgery. One Dr. think it is nerve damage now. Just nervous about these tests what is next. help if you can thanks.
Its a lot to say about the bone scan and injection. I had it done and it does take time. I wanted to say if you google bone scan or bone scan injection and go to the mayo clinic site there is some good info there, better to help you understand about the bone scan.
The test for your nerves is called a nerve conduction test OR you'll have an EMG, neither are painful, no worries there! (EMG's used to be quite painful, but docs don't torture us anymore!) Good luck, hope you are given something stronger from your pain management doc. If the tests turn out with dramatic findings you probably will be given something stronger.
