... laws affect me
I'm not as sure as Chuck is. The laws are changing daily. There are no quarantees.
I'm not trying to worry you but pain centers have not become the only place that prescribes.
I last heard any non-cancer related pain is up to review. In other words one diagnosis... cancer is the only guarantee.
Look guys. They are stepping on our health care and the AMA has allowed it.
I think it's going to end up with everyone having a lawyer who will specialize in these cases. I'm actually surprised the lawyers haven't jumped on the bandwagon already.
I'm in a hospital. Big sign in the ER that this hospital does not use Dilaudid!
Dilaudid may be the drug of choice for some conditions or for others who cannot tolerate Morphine.
They totally cut off my home meds. They just don't carry them so if you want them you need to bring your own. Do you see the cost they are saving at our expense?
This is a chain of hospitals in Fl.
You know those "do not stop suddenly"?
I have 3 of them and they all got stopped immediately.
My pain meds were not even considered.
Now I have to be sick AND withdraw to a pain level so intense it make childbirth look like a piece of cake.
It's out and out bad medicine !
I'm signing out soon from ICU.
Oh get this ...
I'm in a private room with a man.
Has anyone experienced this ?
They never told me they would not respect my rights to receive my finely tuned medicine ordered by doctors whose care I've been under for years!
Folks... it doesn't get much worse than this. It's a disgrace. No transparency. No communication.
The nurses are doing the best as they can but they stopped trying to change the system. No foley caths in whole hospital. Choice of 3 blood pressure meds, etc etc etc.
I hope their stocks do well and everyone can sleep well !
