My girlfriend was just released from the hospital this morning after having her gullbladder removed (yesterday afternoon) she is still in a lot of pain so the doc wrote her a script for 1mg dilaudid but when we went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist said he doesn't think they even make them in 1mg size, he said from what he has seen they come in multiples of 2 (2, 4, 8)
joekola2, I hope you girlfriend is doing better today. If not & you haven't gotten anything for her pain being a Holiday weekend you may have to take her to the ER to get a script if you can't raise someone by telephone. I am surprised they gave her this anyway. Usually a script for percocets is suffcient for this type of pain. I am here to warn you if she gets in terrific pain, they could have missed a gall stone that could be lodged in the bile duct. This happens occasionally. Just be aware, & if she is feeling better that is wonderful, but if she is worse you need to get a hold of the doctor on call & follow his direction...
