... tests upon tests and they believe this is due to "stress". The pain is dull and it constant. It is right behind my ear and is worst when I don't sleep much. I don't know what to do and I'm really had enough of this headache. What should I do? Now, my left eyelid is starting to droop. So I have slight ptosis. I've found all my complications to be on my left side. I'm 17 years old, wear high prescription glasses. Someone help me please
Your best bet is see your ophthamologist. He will pursue the cause of the ptosis. You could have a trigger point behind your ear that would cause pain. Sometimes they can cause other symptoms. I have one in the same place, if I press on it, its really painful. I don't have any other symptoms but the headache around it. Stress does make that worse. My pain dr injects it sometimes and that helps for quite a while. When I don't have one I use ice on it.
Hi i think Kaismama's idea about visiting an opthamologist is a good one! If the doctors believe it is due to stress have they consulted with you about trying an anti anxiety medication or antidepressant? Amitriptyline for example works in a combination of ways, it can reduce feelings of stress, help with pain and also help you sleep. Something to consider maybe?
