He cut my oxycodone from 180 to 60. He prescribed the fetanyl patch 25 mg. I am in severe pain. I have had 4 surgeries on my right knee, need surgery on left and suffer from fibromyalgia. I put the fetanyl patch on and it doesn't help. I don't know what to do. If I go to another doctor they may think I'm doctor shopping. Anyone have any suggestions on how to rid myself of the pain I'm having?
In opiate equivalence terms I think that works out that he has cut your overall opiate/opioid dose by around 30% plus. Fentanyl is unlike other opiates as there is no warm euphoric feeling leading many to believe they been shorted also.
The government is clamping down as the death rate from legal opiates is alarmingly high.
Sorry to have been of no help.
