I take 400mg of tramadol per day (100mg every 6 hours). I have been taking this dose since 2006. It helps with the pain. If I take too much, it will cause autonomous jerking movements in my extremities. A couple of times it caused minor seizures which is a known side effect for taking more than the recommended dose. Nausea is another side effect. Hope this info helps.
