Why did your doc put you on oxycodone for a gall bladder operation? I had mine removed 38 yrs ago so I have a huge abdominal incision and I went home with a few vicodin. Stick with it, its not worth having to take it all the time, and you'll feel better without it. You can take imodium for the diarrhea, and benadry for nerves (it helps nausea sometimes too). Try drinking something like gatorade or seven up, but only drink small mounts at a time, like an ounce every half hour. You don't want to get dehydrated on top of the symptoms you're already having.
You are going thru a rough time, I've been there and it's no picnic.
Kaismama is right when she says drink small amounts, all day, because of dehydration. Having diarrhea and barfing is a recipe for dehydration, so be careful.
If you have restless legs when you lie down to go to sleep, try taking a hot bath before bed. If you are perspiring like mad, or feel cold and hot flashes, try to keep the temperature down in your home, and keep a sweatshirt or hoodie close, for the cold flashes.
Benadryl, as kaismama has suggested, is good for sleep and any anxiety you may be feeling. IF your muscles are cramping severely, you may want a very mild muscle relaxer, but just for a week, and don't take them every 6 hours, just take one muscle relaxer at bed time.
There is a tea that can help with insomnia, it's called Sleepy Time Tea, it tastes horrible, but I've friends that swear by it! Also, for insomnia, you can try melatonin tablets, found in any pharmacy or supermarket. They are a natural solution to insomnia and are effective for a few weeks, then they sort of lose their effectiveness.
As was already suggested, walking is a fantastic way to get better! It helps kick endorphins (the feel-good chemicals in the brain) into high gear, which will make you able to feel happiness, what could be better than that!!!
I hope you feel better very soon!
