I am in need of Rx assistance since I have no insurance and the Oxycontin I am prescribed is now up to $670 per month!
Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get approved and what the whole process entails? I guess I wonder if this will take a couple of months to get rolling or if it can be done quickly. I run out of medication in another 28 days so I have some time to take care of this but not a lot.
I know how anxious you must be waiting to find out if you are covered. I was lucky as my Rx was covered thank goodness as the Rx was $5200/mth (CND). Do you know that there are alot of other meds that do exactly the same thing as oxycontin, the just don't come in time release. There is no difference between percocet and oxycontin other than time release. All the studies by PerduePharm were altered to show that the drug was less of a risk to become habit forming because of the time release. In fact I can tell you from personal experience from both that oxycontin is way more addictive and exspenive that what already exists. If you really need pain relief I would suggest ms-contin. Depending on what strength your oxycontin is you can get the same relief without all the crazienest of oxycontin. It's way cheaper and lasts just as long.
