OxyContin - Why is the medication labeled op rather than oc as it once was?

I do not know if this is the correct answer but it may be because it is now the newer generic
formulation instead of the Purdue brand, the original manufacturer of OC. I have heard everything from glue to plastic fillers added to make the generic medication. I just checked my meds and it also has OP stampled free discount card
