I am a long term user of Percodan (30+ years), but noticed last spring 2012 when I received a new prescription after a six week wait the medicine did not provide the usual results. It continues not to perform as it has done for so many years. I can not contribute this to a tolerance build up because I do not take it often.
Actually, I was just talking with my pharmacist yesterday about this. (I take MS Contin & Oxy I.R.) She advised that very soon, all Oxycodone-containing products will no longer be able to be split/halved/etc. because the gov't has required manufacturers to reformulate, in a manner similar to what happened to OxyContin, in order to discourage abuse. Still, I thought she meant oxy-only products, not those like Percodan which contain another ingredient.
