you don't manage a addiction. You are either actively abusing or in recovery... Dave

Thanks for the response Dave, I cannot however agree that It is either abuse or the solution is "recovery" which implies recreational abuse" I am referring to using to deal with chronic pain as a result of injuries sustained from a severe accident. Anyone else out there in a similar situation? Could use the "free thinking" and support!

I didn't say there was a solution. If you are addicted to opiates you are either actively abusing or you're in recovery. There is no cure for addiction just management. So maybe you are dependent rather then addict, there is a huge difference between the two... Good luck... Dave
