... at the same time? Is it true that a doctor can not have you on benzos and opioids at the same time. I've been taking my Xanax for my shaking since 3rd grade. With that now, I have to be on a opioids now for my back pain. I've been on it now for 19 months, both of them, and it would end the day he told me he'd take me off my Xanax. Is it because I think he's just picking at me?
Hi kimjo1966. It’s not a good idea to take an opioid with Xanax. Your doctor is taking good care of you. There is a major interaction between the two. It is very dangerous. To read about it all yourself go to the drug interaction part of this site (Drugs.com). I hope this helps you to understand and hopefully between you and your doctor something else can be done. Take care and best wishes to you
