Had 12 back surgery's came off fentanyl when I was taking 250 every 24 hrs
Oxycodone - I take 300 oxycodone a month and my pain level rarely is under an 8?
Added 31 Aug 2017:
I have had 4 Stimulators implanted over 6 years with bad results 1st one had a exterior charger that stopped charging 2nd and 3rd had 5 year battery that died in less than a year, 4th after 8 months I complained of burning smell and burning feeling then stopped working though Medtronics said it wasn't possible they went in to find the leads from unit were charred.i also always had unit turned to max setting. I've tried coming off meds on my own only lasted approximately 4 days with no withdrawal at all. I even mixed(knowing I shouldn't but didn't care) have had alcohol while on meds (scotch) but stopped my doctors say I have an abnormal high resistance to medications! In fact I don't use Novocain during dental work including pulling 2 teeth and having dental implants
I have no side effects and from any meds I use and have been on. Many different opoids I'm waiting for a trial at Johns Hopkins to hopefully help with all this my only pains are in my lower mid and upper back
I can't imagine they will keep running up your dose, 250 micrograms of Fentanyl is a huge amount and your Oxycodone we have no idea of the amount. I would have thought they would implant one of those nerve devices or start examining the type of pain more closely. If it is, in part, neuropathic in nature, a variety of other medications are available.
