My boyfriend and I had sex four days before my ovulation day, I wasn't on birth control, but I did take two of a starting pack the day before my ovulation and I am not sure if I should keep taking them for the chance of pregnancy. Will the birth control work as an EC and prevent sperm from reaching an egg if I do ovulate or was it too late? I need help please...
Ok, there is no hormonal birth control that does anything to the sperm. If you take a birth control pill as an ec its usually 4 pills right after sex and then 4 pills in 12 hrs. If you already ovulated it won't do a thing. What ecps do is delay ovulation. You would do well to take birth control pills all the time and prevent pregnancy.
