... period was on 1 April 2014 of which lasted for 4days and my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex everyday from the last day of my periods for 6days, what are the possibilities that i could be pregnant?
Its not usual to get pregnant right after you stop the pill. It takes a few months for your body to get back to normal. Even without ever taking the pills, most women don't get pregnant the first time they try. It took me 3 months with my first and 2 yrs with my second. I was never on the pills until after I had my children.
It is doubtful that you need fertility pills and any good doctor is not going to give them to you unless there is a problem. A woman is only fertile 3-4 days of the month so it takes precise timing for pregnancy to occur. As kaismama mentioned, it can take time for you to begin cycling normally again meaning ovulating regularly. It usually takes most women 6 months to a year of trying to get pregnant. If after a full year of trying with no pregnancies, THEN you may want to look into fertility. RELAX!! It WILL happen! Anxiety about becoming pregnant is detrimental to becoming pregnant! You need to try to relax and let it happen. Some women find it helpful to use ovulation detection kits. Another thing, you dont want to have sex every day and definitely not more than once a day when trying to get pregnant. Why? Because it depletes a man's sperm count. One little sperm has to "swim" his way through a hostile environment (a uterus is a hostile environment to sperm believe it or not-it is acidic and not the right temperature, etc.) so the more a man releases, the better the chance that one will make it through the reproductive system to find and fertilize the egg. On average, a woman is fertile about 12-14 days after the START of her period so count from the first day of your period not the end. You want to try to have sex during this 12-14 day time. This is where ovulation predicting kits come in handy since most women are not average, it is hard to know when you ovulate but these kits can be a bit pricey and they are really not needed. It will happen if you let it! Just be patient and give it time. A woman has about a 25-30% chance to get pregnant each time she has unprotected sex and just keep in mind that it can take 6 months to a year, so dont become discouraged. If you make up your mind ahead of time that it may take a while, then you wont be so disappointed each month. It will happen when it is meant to be!
