... have irritable bladder... question... if you have a " trigger" food... how long does it take for the uncontrollable urges to occur? Straight away?? A few hours later? The next day?? Does that make sense?? For eg, my girl had one of those popper things of " juice"... Well, later on that day... huge flood as opposed to the smaller accidents... I'm just trying to figure out if she has a food that triggers irritable bladder., how quickly the effect of that food can kick in???
Sugar will increase urine output in anyone. It needs time to get into the blood and to the kidneys. If a 4 yr old is still having accidents she needs to be evaluated by a urologist. If there is nothing wrong, then she needs some behavioral work. She could be one of those kids who gets so involved in what she is doing, if someone doesn't remind her to go to the bathroom she won't go.
