My doctor accidentally wrote 20 units per day on script... I think it was supposed to be approx. 120 units vs. 20. Does that calculate correctly... that I would be using more than 3 bottles of humalog per month?? Currently pharmacy is thinking one bottle will last 2 months (I wish!!! ) so they need new per day unit amount on script.
How many units are you supposed to take a day? If you're supposed to take 20 then they would be right, if you take 120 then you are. Its 100U/cc, correct? If there are 100U in 1 cc then there is 120 U in 1.2 cc. 1.2 cc x 30 days is 36 cc a month. That would be a little more then 3.5, 10 cc vials. Are you on any other kind of insulin?
