I had 3 orthovisc injections receiving the last one on 9/15. I have yet to feel any relief so I was wondering how long I should give it before I make another appointment. I really see no difference from before the injections. I am still waking up in pain at night, having difficulty with daily tasks such as driving (and I drive an hour each way to work). I've been fighting this for almost 10 years so I'm ready for some relief!
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling no relief from the injections. They work well for some and not so well for others. Since you've had a couple of weeks for the fluid to disperse and provide a cushion for the joint, it seems that you may be one of the ones it doesn't work so well for. As far as I know, they won't give more than three injections and those have to be at least six months apart per set. It may be time to discuss an alternate treatment with your Dr.
