... experiencing pain and discomfort. I don't know what is causing this. Any opinions please. thank you I have been to physio, osteopathic, chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopath. I have been trying to do strength training. movement, of course, makes it worse. It almost feels like it is loose, but the x-rays show nothing is out of order. By the end of the day it is quite sore and painful and I have to take a Tramacet at night to go to sleep. Pain is not excruciating, but it is there all the time.

I had the surgery over 3 years ago - not 3 months ago. I have had injections in my hip, but nothing has worked. have been told it is trochanteric bursitis by my physiotherapist, but pain has not resolved after many physio treatments. thanks
If I were you, I would get a copy of my X-rays and go for a second opinion.
Get a personal referral by someone you know or go to a university. I would google the doctor prior to making the first visit.
You have done your part.
Your orthopedist should not have a problem with it because I'm sure he wants the best for you.
Even if the surgery was a success, having a second opinion may alleviate your anxiety.
It's just around the three month period so you should be healing up pretty well by now. THR is a major surgery so appreciate what you have been through ! Your bones may not have been in the best shape if you required the surgery. Allow for that too.
Are you taking calcium?
How about anti-inflammatory meds (Aleve) to decrease the joint swelling?
Good luck and I hope you feel better.
