... taken birth control before. I didn't realize there were so many rules. Am I ok with starting on day 1? Or should I have started on day 10? Will this completely mess up my entire BC packet? Sorry so many questions. I know I should have waited. .. but I didn't, so this is where I'm at. Thank you in advance
You should start with the first active pill and take them in order-it is very important with this particular pill because each week has a little different dose. It is okay to start taking them anywhere in your cycle but it is a bit easier for your body to regulate out if you start at your period time since this is the beginning of your natural cycle. Be sure that you use condoms for the first week or two (really using back up protection the whole first pack is best when you start taking them mid cycle) as back up because it takes time for the pill to become effective. Since you are not starting at period time, you may not get your period during the 4th week like you are supposed to but dont worry. It will regulate itself out in a few months. Dont alter the way you take the pills though no matter when your period comes or doesnt come. Always start with the first pill and take them in the order they come in the pack-this is VERY important. Once you are protected, you stay protected all through the cycle, even when you are taking the inactive ones, as long as you are taking the pills correctly and in order each day about the same time of day. Feel free to ask any questions you have!
You can start them on day one of your period or the Sunday after your period starts. You start with day one of the active pills. Its not difficult. You then follow around the pill pack until you get to the sugar pills. This is when you will get your period, some point In that week of sugar pills. You never alter the schedule for any reason. When you are done with the sugar pills you start a new pack.
