I JUST realized I only took 1 white pill, then all 7 light blue pills, then 5 blue pills. Now there's two blue pills left until the green inactive ones. I always use backup protection.. But what should I do about the pills? Just finish the two blues then start the green inactives? Then start a new pack the following week? Should I skip the greens and go right into a new pack of whites? How bad will missing those 6 white pills at the beginning of my cycle mess up my hormones? (I didn't wear my glasses when replacing the pack, doh).
It is good that you always use back up protection because you messed up pretty good and if you had been relying only on the pill for contraception you could have been in trouble. Like KM said, throw away the pack and start right into your next pack. That means you will most likely skip this months period but thats ok-you might spot a bit and that is ok too. Just be sure that you start on the correct first pill with the new pack. With Ortho Tri Cyclen each weeks pills have a little bit different dose to more adequately mimic your natural cycle with varying hormones. These pills are imperative that you take them in the correct order or they dont work properly. Once you start them, keep taking them as they come in the pack no matter what your body is doing, bleeding or not, eventually it will straighten out.
