My nose burns so bad i cant stand it and i cant swallow without pain. I havent slept in 4mos... HELP!!!
Are they treating you with Diflucan or Nystatin swish and swallow? That is so very uncomfortable! You might want to also look into Probiotics (like Culturelle is a good one). They help keep the good bacteria flora in your body because the antibiotics not only kill bad bacteria it kills the beneficial ones too and those are the ones that keep the Candida fungus from taking over causing thrush and Candidal infections. Eating yogurt can help some too but preparations like Culturelle have a lot more active culture in them. You will need something to stop the overgrowth of fungus like Diflucan or Nystatin as well.
Hey Troy: I have a problem with thrush also. I have nystatin to take when it really gets bad, and I have a script for diflucan. You also need probiotics at LEAST twice a day. They are over the counter, but the best ones are refrigerated in a health food store as they are live cultures and do a better job with your immune system.
Also, eat yogurt, yogurt, yogurt!! Organic if possible, and non of the stuff that is supposed to taste like cheese cake, cookies etc. Get REAL yogurt, and mix in fruit if you like. I really love the organic low fat plain or vanilla yogurt mixed with bananas and chocolate protein powder. A wonderful lunch. You can also take plain yogurt and put it up your nose.
Good luck, I understand what you are going through!
Do you understand that candida is part of our immune system & can not be killed off? It has surfaced for a reason, you are not healthy. This is brought on by antibiotics & the Standard American Diet of high carbs. The more drugs you ingest, the worse it will get. Drugs are poison. You can cure yourself through nutrient dense whole foods. High natural fats, good quality meats, eggs, butter and very low carb veggies in moderation. Avoid chemicals, additives, sugar, wheat, corn, rice, preservatives, dairy, and fruit. Sugars FEED fungus. In about 4 or 5 years, you'll be cured!
