... Really need a way to deal with the cravings!
What happened? I wish there was a way to deal with the cravings that you could get your hands on without a prescription, but there is not. How much have you had today? You may need to start at a higher dose then 3 5 mgs pills. You were on 50mgs so you may need to reduce to just half, which would be 25 mgs rather than the 15mgs a day.
You have not failed, just need to adjust the taper a little.
Hang in there and keep on posting,
Im going to beat this. Im going back on my Taper tomorrow and Im going to stick with it. I need to do this for me, and I really want to do it for all of you on here who believe in me... Thanks so much for the support... Ill post tomorrow with how Im doing. Thanks for believing in me!!!
Is there any way you could go on Suboxone? I do not recall if you've tried it, but it does curb the cravings. Pattishan61 is our resident sub expert, and I will alert her to your question, maybe she can give some advice on Subs for you.
I agree with Laurie on the beer thing, be careful, all that Tylenol and beer do not mix, bad for your liver!
You will beat this, just keep trying, some people relapse, it happens, so be kind to yourself, but don't cave!!!
Good morning all,
Slept through the night with a little help from a larazapam.. woke up feeling really good. It's a sunny day and I have some non-stressfull errands to do. Took my morning taper and plan on staying with the plan today no matter what. Feeling really positive and need to get through this day on track. good luck to me! LOL
Kratom really helped my husband with his cravings. He's been clean from pills since January & off the kratom since mid-March. He's been doing great. No mood swings, sleeping good. To top it off, I had some surgery & had some pain meds for it that I stashed. This usually meant that they would be gone within a few days (I rarely got to take my pain meds) - but I still have some that I never used... I should probably throw them out now that I think about it. Anyway, Kratom really helped him, you should look into it. Let me know if you'd like more info, I'd be happy to help.
Brand new to this site. I have a dependency on Opiates due to a couple health issues. My initial contact with pain medicine began 27 years ago due to a back injury. I know the dangers of taking opiates long term and I also experience the symptoms with taking Opiates long term; (which I have come to hate). I am taking a giant leap here attempting to withdraw from Opiates. I say this because, modern medicine can only offer me pills to elevate my pain. But do nothing to actually assist my condition. My condition has cost me my career, my lifestyle, and my hopes and dreams. With that being said, I feel I have nothing to lose. These false senses of relief I experience while on these Opiates aren't enough for me anymore. I am going to get off these and see if there is any (real) life out there left for me. Fifty years young... I'm too young to give up now.
Since Monday, I have reduced my intake from 60mg of Hydrocodone down to 30mg. Thanks in part to me now taking a Muscle relaxer in addition to the Opiates. Last night was kind of rough. Got through it though! Next week I have an appointment with a Doctor that may put me on Suboxone. I hear this Suboxone is the way to go. Not sure since I have never tried it before. Thanks for reading along.
