... difference between w/d & craving until u can get your hands on the next pill?
A simple answer would be... craving is the mental aspect of wanting/needing the drug, withdrawal is the body's reaction to the lack there of.
When you experience the hot/cold flashes, goose pimples, tremors, stomach problems, insomnia, restless legs, etc... that would be the body's attempt to get more of the opiate into your system.
When you battle against the desire to take a pill every time you have an issue. Or the desire to want the euphoric feeling, energy, etc. that would be a craving. There are different reasons to be either addicted or drug dependent. I just posted a very good article that I found on another forum that you may want to read. It addresses the difference between being dependent and being addicted.
Anyway, that is your basic nutshell version of the two.
I hope that helped. Please feel free to stay on and visit, read the other questions, etc. This is a great group here!
