... provigil for sleepingness been on so long dont know how to stop its been 7 years on all these drugs I really wish a could free myself from them but scared, does anyone have this problem?
I understand your fears. I've been on Morphine CR for 3 ruptured discs in my spine, Xanax, Klonopin, and Adderall (ADD). All but the Morphine I've been taking for at least 3 years.
But, if these drugs are keeping you functional and allowing you to live a better life than if you were not taking them, you shouldn't feel ashamed of needing them. If you were diabetic, no one would look down on you for taking Insulin. I think it is the same with chronic pain and medications used to treat mental illness.
If you do think you have an addiction problem, however, you should seek a doctor's help. You could switch to Suboxone and taper off slowly, or try another med for the pain. Suboxone is actually used for pain relief (not just for detoxing and tapering), so perhaps the switch could be helpful?
Just IMO. Ask your doctor if you're concerned.
