... all about paws, and I now think that is what is happening to me. I am 1 and a 1/2 months clean and I know I have had some good days, bad days and great days... The fatigue and lack of energy is the worst part, but I am 63 years old and I really think that has alot to do with it. My new question is this, I woke up feeling good today, picked up my grandaughter and took her to pre-school, did a few errands and all of a sudden just became so fatigued I left the store I was in and came home..my legs felt like lead..so tired. My legs always hurt the most and feel so heavy. Is this all part of paws, and the feeling in the legs. I have been taking Bcomplex, vitamins, etc..Just need to get your input on this my friends. Love Golda (grandma) p.s. When I wake up feeling good it usually goes through the day, that is why I am questioning today!!
Hi Golda Grandma,
I do think your legs feeling like lead is PAWS. I had a similar experience, my feet felt as if I were wearing CLOWN SHOES, my feet felt huge after the acute WD was over. Then the odd sensation seemed to crawl up my legs, and they are still achy, and restless. I do think while we are taking opioid pain meds it 'hides' some things that may be going on health wise, because we don't feel it. Do you get what I'm saying Golda?
I would bet the fatigue and your 'lead legs' will disappear in time. You are not that old Golda!! You will recover from this, but you MAY, may find that there are underlying problems that the meds were covering up, like RLS. Or maybe not!! I certainly hope not.
At this point, you want time to fly by, yet it may seem like forever, and then suddenly you are a year clean, and feeling like yourself.
Lara P.S. paws sucks my friend, but this too shall pass!!
I know this post is older but I'm still thankful for it I've have been detoxing for 21 days from about 200mg of oxycodone and I think I am dealing with PAWS it's so frustrating and sad I feel no energy and so alone I'm a wife an mommy of 3 that I can hardly take care of them I have put my self in a intensive outpatient program for woman 3x a week but it's so hard to stay clean feeling like this HELP
