I had unprotected sex with a stranger on Friday night in Germany. I was unable to get the morning after pill until Monday afternoon when I got home and I took it right away. According to my period tracker apps on my phone I was ovulating on Saturday. So if I had already ovulated prior to taking the pill is there a chance that I am not pregnant? Please don't judge me, I know i'm stupid.
I want to say it is more like 5-30% chance but odds are still in favor for not getting pregnant, thank goodness. Pregnancy is a matter of timing. Apps that track ovulation are not all that accurate so who can really say if you were ovulating. You have done all you can do at this point. You may want to consider hormonal birth control if you think you may become sexually active in the future. I recommend that women always carry their own condoms and spermicide for these unexpected events like this. Pregnancy is not your only worry when having casual sex with a stranger. You should probably be checked to be sure that you did not pick up an STD during the encounter. If you did, the sooner you get treated, the better. Some STDs can stay with you for life and you cannot tell who has one by visual inspection. Good luck! I hope everything turns out okay for you but there is a lesson to be learned here and it is best to always be prepared in any event.
