... her eye. She was sent to the ER & given an antiviral Rx for PEP. She already has health issues, Hasimoto's, very low iron levels. Side effects of this Rx are harsh and potentially long lasting. Necessary or overly cautious?
I used to work in dialysis and when I was cleaning the machine I got blood in my mouth. I was told my options as well plus I was pregnant. I could not have an rx so I just go my blood tested a lot. I was finally given an all clear after a year or two. It is her choice if she wants to take it. Check the percentage of her getting HIV and go with that decision.
