Sweetlemon is being very nice. You don't deserve "nice." The failing of this test is just a fact. The problem is, if it's an employment test, you lose your job or get turned down on a potential new job and we ALL end up paying for that. It's called "Government Assistance". If it's a parole thing, same result, another jobless person, only this time costs even more to provide for you in prison. If it's a custody battle, once again costs us more by providing an attorney who will HAVE to help someone not even worthy of keeping a child. This is the worse because it is the child who ends up losing. Just because you wanted to get high. Whatever the consequences are for you failing this test, you will deserve. You KNEW this test was coming and chose getting high over the most important things in life... work, family, health, and staying out of prison. No one is perfect. I abused drugs.
But when it comes down to basic common sense, you have lost it. And you seem proud of the fact you haven't smoked oc in 3 whole weeks, wow! What an accomplishment. Not to mention the fact it is people just like you that make us, the ones who truly need these meds, have to sign their lives and dignity away on the dotted line in blood, just to have them legally prescribed. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
You have no one to blame but yourself. It doesn't matter if you took 1/4 hit it was more than you were legally allowed to do. What is the sense in keeping you on probation or whatever your on if your gonna just spit in everyone who ares enough about you to have you tested. You need to be somewhere where it's tough for your own good. Before you know it you will be a nothing I am not saying this to be mean I have seen it first hand. I don't know how old you are but it doesn't matter grow up and take responsibility for yourself do have to worry about the ua be clean make sure it's clean IT IS YOUR CHOICE. Go in the right direction for yourself and your children if you should choose that life for yourself
You will fail for opioids. For sure. Freebasing Oxycontin is not a good idea. There are fillers in OC tabs that have a much lower smoke point than the oxycodone does. Theses fillers are put in the pill to 1) Help bind the pill together and 2) to stop people from injecting it and (trying to) freebase it. Naloxone has been put into multiple different abuse-able pills, research that a little bit and tell me if you would smoke it, cause you are. There are also other, less toxic fillers in pills (ive even heard of cornstarch and things like that) that you are also smoking.
There are serious, permanent damages you can do to you lungs and other parts of your body. How do i know this? Why do i have the right to preach about it? Because ive done it. Ive permanently injured my lungs from freebasing stupid shit like Oxycontin tabs. A friend of mine died a year ago at 19 from freebasing a fentanyl patch. I know how alluring the highs of these drugs are, because i was stuck on them myself, but they are NOT worth it. You need to stop, and if you cant stop yourself you need to admit you have an addiction problem and get professional help.
hi, I would re look at what you wrote, you seem to be living in fear and iv been through addiction amphetamines a number of years ago. While i dont no how your feeling nor no what has happened in your life, just like u dont no mine, i can relate though, the lure of the esceape of abusing drugs. In your question you used words like " Only " " but" " was only 3 weeks ago" , this is what we dfo to minimise, justify and rationalise to our selves that itys ok to be doing what were doing. If you keep doing this you will loose more than your already current losses, self respect, freedom, love, family, friends, possesions, oportunitys, holidays, jobs, meeting wonderfull people, your housing, mental heath, physical health, your appearence, your legacy. You can changwe this , is this list worth risking plus other things more personal; to you that i encourage you to write down.
You have unique talents , we all do and you may or may not have found them yet but you will find clarity through the recovery process and find your gifts. How you may ask , this is the beaty of it you can ring , use internet, read ,doctors, Narcotic anonaymus ect what ever you can find, find others who have gone this road and use all these networks to put together a plan that works on the addiction, emotional issues, medical and any other life time crisis that have occured for you. I will not support you while you are using but if you repost a question after starting rto get help i will do my best if im well enough so will many others, its a hard road with ups and downs but full of rewards and sounds a lot better than the way your living, hope this plants the seed to you coming up with options instead of justifycations, you can do it take the challenge, you have survived this long now its time for you to be set free and start living again, best of luck
richardG1, You have been given a lot of different answers here, so if it's alright, I'm going to step in here and add a little to each. Each and every answer given here to you today, has merit. Each of them gave good information to you about your life. Some of the answers stepped a little over the line from helpful to a bit hurtful. But that does not say that they are wrong; only wrongly written. There are a lot of different reasons that people answered your question the way they did. You must understand that first, we are human, and then after that, you can read them again and understand a little more about human nature. The people here have a lot of good information to give. They know a lot about what you've written because they've been there or are there themselves or are going through it with a loved one, so you may see why you've been given such explosive answers. All of us here at drugs.com are going through a lot too.
That's why we're here and maybe some of the answers you got were a little overstated. I have read many, many of the answers and comments written on this site, and I can tell you, that some of the people who answered you today, do not normally answer using the tone they did. So I am asking you to read between the lines and to try to understand that they really were trying to help. They got lost somewhere within themselves reading your question. Maybe you hit a nerve. I'm sure they would not answer in the same tone as they did, if they would have realized the question that you asked triggered something inside them. You can catch any of us on a bad day and see how different words can be interpreted. I know that now, they are wishing that they had spoken a little less harshly to you. But maybe too, richard, it can be a good thing, depending on how you interpret what they've said. You are walking down a very dangerous road. That is true, and believe me, no one here wants to see you fall. Forgive those who spoke out of turn, and go back, read it again, take out the harsh words and see that you've been given the only answers that make sense; the ones that could save your life. You got a very large dose of reality. What you do with that dose, is going to make the difference in your life. One of the people wrote that they think that 3 weeks is a good thing, one to be proud of, and they are right. It is. But it is also a baby step on a very difficult road, and you must travel that road, or you will lose. That is what everyone had to say to you today. These are good people, who have a lot of compassion, understanding, and experience. And they are also capable of a bad moment, of writing something in a way they don't usually do. Maybe they stepped over the line, but they had the best motive going in. The last thing I will say to you, is that this (quitting) is something you must take one day at a time. Also. I am thinking that possibly you do not want to quit; that you may have asked a simple question, and just wanted a simple answer, in which case, you just got an earful of a bunch of people who care about what happens to you, even though they don't know you. That is what we are all about here. If you need help or want just an answer, you have come to the right place, but you must be prepared to be given a whole big bunch of feelings. Good luck, and I hope getting a dirty test will not be too harmful for your life. I can tell you the answers you got here today are not as harmful as what your future will hold if you don't change directions. God bless... I am beanmarie
