I put it in two weeks after my last period ended because I wasn't able to get it before. I haven't taken it out, nor did I take it out when we had intercourse. However, my body has been preparing itself for a period, which concerns me considering that the ring should NOT be allowing it to, and I just found spotting. In fact, I have a lot of cramps and feel like I'm going to have a period anyway and I'm five days late on my cycle. I have one more week to go before I can take it out and am going to keep it in until the day arrives. What are my possibilities of getting pregnant if he didn't pull out during one of those occasions and the ring was the only protection we had otherwise?
If you have been using it for two weeks then you should be protected. As far as your period, it may come early until your body gets used to the hormones and the new cycle. Just stick to your schedule no matter what your period does. If it comes early, leave it in until it is time to come out and replace it with the new one when it is time.
