My Nuvaring was in my purse which was placed on the counter beside the stove before I had a chance to refrigerate it.
The purse and the box the ring was in got quite hot beside the stove, for a period of just under an hour.
Is this still safe to use?
My pharmacist said it was 'probably fine' but I was wondering if anyone had experience with a more definitive response from a professional/ personal experience.
I was going to tell you to ask your pharmacist. He/she would be the best person to know this sort of thing. It looks like you have already done so though. I'm not sure I would be happy with a "probably fine" either! They are not the one to have to del with an unplanned pregnancy. Can you afford to buy a new one just to be on the safe side? it is either that or use condoms as a back up with this ring until you can get your next one. If you feel confident to chance it, you can, of course. You might try contacting the manufacturer to get their opinion?
