I haven't used any form of B/C in about 6 years. I had a medication addition due to a medical issue and had to start using Nuvaring before I got my period. When I inserted the ring I was 8 days from my expected period(11/22). I got some cramping starting 11/30 which is when I should have started and today 12/1 i noted a small amount of spotting. Should I remove the ring to allow my body to menstrate?
You won't get your period until you remove the ring. You need to keep the ring in for 3 weeks, then remove it, then you should get your period - regardless of when you were expecting it.
Spotting is normal when you first get your NuvaRing. It should settle after a few cycles once your body adjusts to the hormones.
