I am going to Mexico in March and am supposed to have my period the week I am there. To avoid this, I am considering trying to manipulate when I get my period. I have tried the whole inserting a new ring the same day I took my old ring out, to skip that months period - however, when I got my period the following month I experienced excruciating cramps. I am wondering if I could just leave my ring in for 4 weeks to change my menstrual cycle - or taking it out after just 2 weeks instead of 3 and getting my period early. Does anyone have advice on what to do? I could just do the whole out and in on the same day again, but i don't know if the pain is worth it :/
Here is what you do. You let the ring in for 4 weeks. Then you take it out and put a new one in right away. This will cause you to skip your period which is perfectly ok. You leave the new one in for the full 3 weeks. You never talk me it out early it would leave you unprotected.
