This is my first time using the Nuvaring so of course I'm afraid. I had placed the ring within the 5th day of my period and well had sex two days later without protection. I've done it a couple of times since that day, today is the day I was suppose to technically wait for 7 days. I have the app w the calendar and I don't ovulate till the 19th. Am I safe? I'm too young to have a child and have a whole future ahead of me. I'm guessing everything is okay , I have not took it out since I put it on and I have not felt it misplace. Does it still work although I didn't wait the 7 days?
You could be ok. I mean its best to use extra protection those 1st 7 days. Im on the ring now and I was told it starts working alot faster then lik the pill. Its supposed to start quickly. But if you are really worried you can do the plan b. They sell it in stores. Now I believe. On the commercial says to use it within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse. You could look onto that. Also mine moves around some thats fine just make sure its in there. That is what. Matters.i think the info even said if it falls out wash off and put back in best within 30 minutes and you dont need a backup but if its out longer same thing wash off put back and use backup for 7 days.hope that helped.
If you are too young to have a child, you should follow directions. You should have waitied the seven days. There is a reason things come with directions. Seven days is the minimum amount of time you should wait. Is there a reason you thought the rules didn't apply to you? You were not protected by it, so if you didn't get pregnant its just dumb luck.
