I am in a nursing home in Ohio. I have been on dialysis eight years and in end stage renal failure. Both my kidneys were removed 4 years ago. I also have renal osteoarthritis severe in both knees. I also have neuropathy in both my legs. I am in a wheelchair because of the severity of it and am unable to walk because of it. It is also starting in my other joints as well. The weather is getting colder and I asked if my medicine could be changed to more often a day or change the med all together because it's not working as well. I get a Oxycodin 5 every six hours. The doctor here said he can't do nothing because of the laws. The laws say I'm not in pain. I want to know if and what can be done.
KLHall;a This is just so crazy and I am sorry that you are having such problems all these new laws they have put in place just is not fair to the people that do need more than people that really are not in as much pain. Do you know if your doctor has given you anything like Gabapentin or Lyrica these work well for nerve pain you may bring this nerve under control. This is all I can really figure out, for now, You should have one of the Nurses talk to your doctor and see what can bed done' Best of luck to you klhall;a.
