I'm afraid that I'm not getting my testosterone shots in the right spot. Up until the last few times I always got the shot in my butt muscle, but the last few times I've gone they have given it to me in my love handle and it's not muscle it's all fat. I have a unique body shape - my butt is low and I have a disproportionate amount of fat in the love handle so it can appear to look like the top part of my butt. I said something to the nurse this time and she still gave me the shot in the love handle. Is this a problem with the effectiveness of the testosterone?
It is supposed to be given deep in the muscle. To determine on the butt where that is, imagine a butt, put a cross on it, and check where the upper outer guadtrant is. It is high on what you would think of as your hip. The reason for this is because if its given in the part we sit on, there is a chance of damaging the sciatic nerve. Then you will know where its supposed to go.
