... and it increases much more every time i look down as if there's a connection between my neck and my hands being numb... if i look up for a while then look down i feel this tingling sensation and numbness as well, why is this?

It sounds like you have a cervical nerve being compressed when you look downward. You need to see a Dr. Try your PCP first then possibly a neurologist. Sometimes a good chiropractor can help. You might need some manipulations to help free the compressed nerve. Surgery should be a last resort.
