Hi everyone :) I'm sorry we are all dealing with back pain... I'm curious to know if anyone has suffered from numb legs due to back pain? I have an MRI at the end of this week, so I will now soon. But in the meantime, I'm getting really concerned, because a week ago I only had one numb leg-now its both! I'm expecting a Professional opinion, would just like the opinion of anyone on this support group.
I have leg numbness. All the way down the whole leg, but only on the outer side. I also get pins and needles in same area, as well as in my foot. Even though it's numb, it can feel some touching, and it can feel pain!! It can also feel things that aren't there. I will think a bug is on my leg, but it is just the nerve damage. Good luck!
I had the same thing... I had a very large rupture in my disc at L5/S1... I still have some numbness, but it's on the outside of my left leg going down the whole length of my leg to my foot. I had surgery to clean the disc up, but in the process it created a lot of scar tissue that's impinging the sciatic nerve and it causes severe pain.
It's prob pinched nerve.
Possible nerve root entrapment. the MRI should reveal the cause. Let me know how it turns out, as I have similar issue.
Yes unfortunatly numb legs seem to go with back pain in alot of instances.Depending on you injury or other pressure on your nerves in you back this may go on for quite some time. Talk to your Dr. It can be miserable for some people. Hope you feel better and you get some long term relief.
