I just started taking nucynta today, for major knee, shoulder, elbow pain after getting hit by a car on my bicycle 3 yrs ago. i was on Hydrocodone for about 2 years and that really helped..then my dr put me on Tramadol, which did absolutely nothing... so really looking for something to stop the constant pain. I am prescribed 1x50mg every 6 hours... any help is appreciated..
hi,kmound,I was waiting for you to tell us how long this new opiate wunder drug takes to kick in. well i guess that answers my question. what diffrent mgs do they come in?maybe you need a dose ajustment. but tell us,are they making your pain tolorible, or do you get no relife from your pain at all?because the term kick in kinda infers your waiting to feel something other then pain relife.im not saying that your trying to feel euphoria, cause i know what that feels like belive me. but are you saying that your not getting any pain relife? if so thats sucks.im on suboxone and when i first came to this site about 2 years ago all i heard is suboxone is not for pain.maybe not,but it sure makes mine tolorible.and motrin 800.keep us informed on this new stuff and hang in there dude, pain management is a hit or miss deal. its diffrent for everyone.
Nycynta is a joke, been there done that.I am presently on Percocet 10/350 - four times a day and Robaxin 750/500 four times daily. I have been on Lortab 10mg before and it made me feel like I had energy to boot but continued to hurt in all my joints. Neurontin was tried, along with Lyrica - they knocked me out. I recently got a RX for a compound creme mangement but the "FDA-whoopee) says no it works.
Nucenta did absolutely nothing for me. I did notice that every other patient in my then PM Center was walking out the door with a prescription for it then noticed the Pharmacy Rep giving my dr coupons to give to the patients and further noticed, when in the pharmacy to fill the 1st script, several others in line with me with the same script and same coupon! I then decided that it must be highly pushed by the Pharmacutical Rep, tried it with no relief whatsoever for a week, called my PM office and was told to come back in, no questions asked and pick up my usual prescription.
