... Does it come in pill form? Currently on butalbatol has stored being effective for miagranes
Nubain is available in liquid form for injection only-no pill forms. There is a drug called Stadol that is somewhat similar in its effects to Nubain. Stadol comes in a nasal spray that works well for migraine pain. You might find that Stadol works as well as Nubain. The main thing to remember when treating migraine is that almost all these drugs can cause rebound headaches. So when you are taking the drug regularly and you suddenly stop, you get a pounding rebound headache. Butalbital is NOTORIUS for causing rebounds! To avoid this, be sure to use these drugs very sparingly. Use them the very second you feel one coming on, not when the pain is getting severe. Migraines are easier to treat by heading them off than treating them once they are full blown. Be sure that you take a beta blocker regularly (propranolol, metoprolol, atenolol). You may not notice a big difference right off but after you take a beta blocker for a year, you will suddenly look back and realize that you had less headaches than the year before. My migraines got soooo much better once I was on a beta blocker for a while. I had tried one earlier for migraines and I quit taking it because I thought it wasnt doing any good then I was put on a beta blocker for another reason and, lo and behold, I found that after taking it for a year or more I was only getting one or two migraines a year as opposed to several a month!
