iv been on the pill for about 2 months now and me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex, i now notice and increase of cervical mucus when i go to the toilet and i wipe, chances of being pregnant?
Increased cervical mucus is not a sign of pregnancy and you wont see cervical mucus when you wipe as your cervix is high up in the vagina. What you are seeing is just some discharge. The vagina is a moist organ (it is a mucus membrane, just like the inside of your mouth) and it cleanses itself. Probably what you are seeing is your vagina cleaning itself as a result of increased sexually activity. When you have sex with your male partner and he ejaculates, those sperm remain within the vagina for a few days until they die off (even if he doesnt ejaculate within you he will still leak a certain amount of sperm) Your vagina responds to these dead and dying sperm cells by increasing mucus production to "cleanse" the vagina. This is the natural way it works. This keeps the vagina balanced. You never want to douche either because the vagina cleans itself. When you douche, you upset the delicate balance within the vagina and you cause more problems than you fix. No worries! If you are taking your pill every day, at about the same time of day each day, you have a less than 1% chance for pregnancy!
