... TAKE SUBOXONE BECAUSE OF THE OPIATE BLOCKER IN IT. so if you are taking this med and are a pregnant woman call that dumb doc of yours and ask him why he is trying to kill your baby. YOU SHOULD BE TAKING SUBUTEX. I know this because i almost lost my daughter because the doc that it was okay. look it up they are still not finding good outcomes on lab rats and monkeys, the FDA said it will be years before any human studies will be done. my little angel Faith was born with 17 red dots on her head from when the doc was trying to beak her water, she was so so blue when she was born, i watched my other children being born but this was scary. SO MY QUESTION IS WHY ARE YOU LETTING THEM TAKING CHANCES WITCH YOUR CHILD'S LIFE... please talk to them before its to LATE
Not to sound like a jerk but some of you should see a real doctor, I mean pregnant women SHOULD NOT?
Added 27 Sep 2010:
my wife was on subutex intill this bitch that i used to be with said my wife was miss using her subutex and the docs said that you cant inject suboxone so the doctors started giving them to her. my wife wasnt just taking the suboxone because she wanted to, they made her and at that time detoxing her would have not been safe. i should have explained it more. i am sorry for making my wife look like she intentionally took them.
Please tell us that Faith is thriving! I agree about Suboxone! I wouldn't take that garbage if a doc paid me, I cold turkeyed off of prescribed Oxy. Didn't want to become dependant on another substance.
(don't want to catch flack over this, 'tis just my opinion, I know it has worked well for others... just not for me)
Please let us know how your daughter is doing!!!
And thank you for the information.
Thank you so much for this. There are a few of us who figured out the doctor is just Parroting the info the company who makes subs and the drug reps are promising about it, I was told it was not addicting, that I could stop whenever i wanted, no problem, no withdrawal. What a lie. They also said subutex was available by injection only and that it was rare a person should be on it versus suboxone, also a HUGE lie. I am so sorry that you last a precious baby because of this. Please let every doctor you use know this, they are the ones who who need to be better educated about subs. We hear very little about pregnancy and subs, but, we were told withdrawal would kill the baby, I will spread the word, subutex is the way to go. So Sorry about YOUR LOSS of Baby Faith.
excuse me youngrus87, but i am stupid because i am just now looking into the effects of suboxone on pregnant women and the baby. i am histaricaly crying right now because i have been so worried about this and its controlling my life and pregnancy. i am 31 weeks pregnant and have not told my obgyn because i am just too afraid and ashamed that i just cant get the the confession out. i have detoxed off methadone cold turkey before and it was terrible, but i did it and i survived. a few years later i was completely off all pain medications and other things but suffered severe injuries from a serious car accident and was put back on pain meds. when i first learned i was pregnant i tried to stop taking the meds and decided to try suboxone. i never took more then 6mg a day and am now down to less than 2mg of a 8mg film a day and desperate to get off before my baby is born on the 9th of November. i have told no one and i am so terrified that i have already done damage to my daughter.
i want to stop in a week thats the time limit im giving myself but i have no idea if this is safe for her(baby) and if she will still be addicted to suboxone when she is born. is it too late? what should i do? im so alone about this and completely dumbfounded and so ashamed of myself. I never thought i would still be on this at this late time in my pregnancy and i am a nervous wreck. i worry about my precious baby every minute of every day but am too scared to talk to anyone, can i quit now and it be ok, what should i do... WHAT HAVE I DONE TO THIS PRECIOUS LITTLE GIRL???
